ANN/GROONG - Shnorhavor Nor Dari yev Sourp Dznount
|
Dear Groong readers,
As we complete another full year of reading news and keeping up to
date with what goes on in Armenian life around the world, it's high
time that we take a moment and recognize the kind gesture we're
privileged to enjoy so consistently by the great organizations and
people who, as they search and read news about Armenia and Armenians
as part of their daily interests, also take a moment to share the news
with the rest of us.
A hearty thank you to Katy Pearce, Armen Toumajan, Mihran Toumajan,
Ruben Sulahian, Moorad Alexanian, Stephan Zeytounian, Harout
Semerjian, Felix Corley, George Aghjayan, Juliet Hananian, Vahe
Khachatourian, and many other friends who regularly and consistently
contribute articles from around the world, to bring us news and
perspectives from so many sources.
I'd like to thank Asbarez, The California Courier, Mirror-Spectator,
Hairenik, RFE/RL, IWPR, The TransCaucasus Chronology and many other
organizations, for not only permitting the use of their material, but
indeed often contributing them to Groong directly.
I'm grateful to Onnik Krikorian and David Petrosyan who have
consistently written original material for Groong or made special
arrangements with their real-world obligations to contribute them to
Groong first-run, solely for our benefit.
Thank you Aragil News, for years of posting your material on Groong
unfailingly at critical and important moments in our homeland. And to
Noyan Tapan, also for posting up-to-the-minute news and information
during momentous events, and for permitting Groong to repost important
articles from their daily service with one thing in mind: fast and
unhindered flow of information between our communities everywhere. In
a time when most Armenian news services have not yet reconciled their
financial needs vs the Internet's free flow of information world,
Aragil and Noyan Tapan have fully supported Groong. Hats off to you
guys, may you prosper wildly!
Finally, I'm specially grateful to Ovanes Manucharyan for sharing the
load of running Groong, and fully owning up to it when I'm away from
my terminal. Thank you Hovik, without you people would have to get
a life every now and then. :)
And thank you everyone, for your interest in Armenian news. We will
continue to bring you news and announcements, and aim to improve the
breadth and quality of the information provided here.
Shnorhavor Nor Dari yev Sourp Dznount, I wish you all health, happiness
and passion to last you well into the next millenium.
Asbed
